Welcome to Vault 33! We’ve Got a First Look of the Fallout Series at Prime Video

Happy anniversary to Fallout! The video game turned 25 years old today and Prime Video celebrated the occasion by sharing a first look image of their series adaptation of the game.

“Congratulations and Happy 25th Birthday!,” tweeted the official Prime Video Twitter account. “We made something special for the occasion.”

That something special is a first look image embedded in the above tweet, which is also shown at the top of this post. We had to cut off some of the image for the above shot, so here it is in its entirety:

We don’t have any more details on what this first image is, but could this be…Vault 33? The number on the back of the shirts of the folks we see in this image would seem to say so.

The image also includes the rules for the Vault in the bottom right, the first one of which is “no food or drink,” and we also see the feet of a (dead?) person on the ground in front of the opening, where an individual stands in the light from the wasteland above.

The creators of the Fallout adaptation — Westworld’s Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy — have promised that their series would keep the “harsh tone” of the game but also the game’s “moments of ironic humor.” So maybe there are some good times to be had in Vault 33.

The show will also star Yellowjacket’s Ella Purnell as a character with an “all-American can-do spirit” and The Righteous Gemstones’ Walton Goggins as a character named Ghoul, which is an in-world nickname for humans who have become zombie-like after radiation exposure.

No news yet on when the Fallout adaptation will make its way to Prime Video.
